Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for! We had a great Thanksgiving with our friends this year. The food was, of course, amazing. I wish I could have eaten more! Jaxson's favorite part was the pumpkin pie. I had to convince him to try it but after he did I didn't get another bite.

This guy is so busy! And his favorite thing to do lately has been to wrestle. As soon as Keith comes home everyday he begs him to wrestle.

Random

Well, here's a little of what we've been up to lately. I just wanted to post some of these random pics we've taken lately. My mom wanted to give Jaxson a growth chart for his b-day and it just so happened that this was one of the crafts for our super Saturday. So I had fun putting together this cute b-day present for our cheesy boy. It's hard to read but it says 'From small beginnings come great things.'
He really likes it!
The other day I let Jax play with real markers for the first time. We colored one of our old little pumpkins. As you can tell he also enjoyed coloring himself and using it like chapstick.

And the big news at our house is Jax is in underwear! As you can see he really loves his underwear and usually wants to be wearing more than one pair. He's doing pretty good so far, especially with going #1, but I have say I hate potty training! It is NO fun!

Round 2!

Luckily we've had some nice weather and the other day after church we were able to get out and take some more pictures of Jaxson. (only a month late) Of course we still had our moments.
Of silly faces.

And screaming breakdowns.
And a lots of times when Jax wanted to just play and not have a camera in his face.
But after a while we finally got a couple of ok enough pictures. Of course I'm always wanting better but I can live with these. It helps that I think he's the cutest kid ever!

Some of them look a little fuzzier on here then they do for real. Hopefully they print well. Any suggestions of which one should go on the wall?
And by the time we got home we had one tired boy. This is how I carried him in from the car. He's really asleep here but still has the cup in attached to his mouth.

Going Back!

I'm behind, of course, so here we go back a couple of weeks. About a week before Halloween we went to this awesome family farm for a day of family fun. Beware! I took a ton of pictures and therefore this post is SUPER long!
First we took a tractor ride back to where all the fun stuff was. Jax thought it was so cool!
They had tons and tons of fun things and toys for the kids to play with and on.

Jax loved the little tractors.

And running around in the hay.

We explored some playground/treehouse areas.

Took a ride in a huge tire swing.

And so much more!
I would have loved this place as a kid!

We got lost in the corn maze.

And played in the beautiful leaves that carpeted the ground.
But Jaxson's favorite part was the slide!

They had a couple of neat slides. This one was about 50 feet long and Jax couldn't get enough of it!
He'd go down in lots of different ways.
Then he would run up the hill.
And go down again and again.
After all that playing it was time to pick a pumpkin.
We had one happy boy!

Then we munched on some yummy free apples while we waited for our tractor ride back to the car.

We love family time!

Halloween!

Jaxson was a dinosaur for Halloween this year, and he loved it! Halloween was the third day in a row he had been in his costume and at first he wasn't too excited about putting it on again for trick or treating. Then we took him to the first house and once they put candy in his bucket he looked at me and said 'I like it.' We had a happy camper the rest of the night! It helped that we didn't limit his candy intake too much.
This is him roaring like a dinosaur.

He also loved passing out candy to the kids that came to our house. We had tons of trick or treaters and Jax would take candy out of his own bucket to put in their bags and then tell them thank you. It was cute.
All night he kept saying 'happy dinosaur' so I guess we made our little boy happy on his third Halloween.

Carving Pumpkins!

Finally on Halloween we were able to carve our pumpkins. Jaxson wasn't so sure about cutting his pumpkins at first but once we taught him how to say 'pumpkins guts' he started to have more fun. Getting the guts out.
Helping daddy.

My cheesy boys!
The finished products. Jax calls one his happy face pumpkin and the other his scary pumpkin.

2 year pictures

I wanted to get some cute pictures of Jaxson around his birthday but something always came up and either Keith couldn't come or the weather wouldn't cooperate. Finally a few weeks after his b-day we had a nice day and even though it was during test week I decided to go try to get some good pictures by myself. It was quite the learning experience. During our little photo shoot we encountered a few problems and falls.
First I was trying to take pictures of a very active 2 year old without help. I've got tons of pictures of him on the move!

The when I would finally get him looking at the camera, he decided to be shy or grumpy, take your pick.
But even through the frustration (only felt by me) we did have a ton of fun playing in the leaves.

Jax had a blast running around, finding sticks, and playing in all the beautiful leaves.

Jumping in!

Finding hidden treasures, I placed trying to get the kid to hold still.
And after more than 200 pictures, this is the best I got. I'm still hoping to get out and take some more, with some help, but if it doesn't happen I could live with this on my wall. What a cute boy we have!
