Birthday Party #1

Keith left us at the end of December to go back to Ohio to take boards and then to go to interviews.  Since he was going to miss Kennadie's birthday we decided to do a little party at his parents the night before he left.
I got to use my new giant cupcake pan for her cake.  (I love how good Jax is for pics!)

Kenna's cousin Preston also has a Janurary birthday so we decided to make it a group party.  Preston was turning 9 and I can't believe he's already that old!

All the kiddos eating cake.  Now, I know why Jax is so photogenic!

They both opened a few presents.
I finally got her baby/ABC book done, which was one of her gifts.  She loved looking through the pages, saying baby, baby over and over.

But once her horse came out she couldn't care less about anything else.  She knew just what to do and jump on and started galloping around.

We had one happy girl bouncing around the house.

We sure love this girl!

Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning!  Our kids are at such great ages, and it makes holidays so fun.

Kenna was thrilled with her baby stroller.

And Jax couldn't get enough of his bouncy ball.

Discovering what Santa left them in their stockings.

Santa brought both of the kids dress ups. (thank goodness for resales!)

They were a hit!

My mom made Keith and the kids super hero capes.

Their faces don't show it here but they both LOVE their capes!

Keith is more than a little obessed with ties.  He wanted a new one but I wasn't going to give into his addiction until I found this one at the DI.  I couldn't resist!  He was pretty happy!

Keith gave Kenna a bubble machine and needless to say it was a hit!

After an delicious breakfast we headed off to church and enjoyed celebrating our Savior's birth there.  I love this time of year that brings us closer to our family and allows us to reflect on God's perfect plan!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

With grandma being gone we had to change up some of our traditions.  It's sad but also good that things change.

We still had our traditional, amazingly good Christmas eve dinner with the Burdett crew.

This year just the great grands got matching jammies from Santa.

Could these two be any cuter?!

Keith and I like to have our kids open one present on Christmas eve, so the cousins exchanged their gifts.

Keith has been begging for footie pjs for years, mainly because he likes to embarrass me.  Well, this year I decided to give in and the kiddos picked out these.

December Fun

Keith spent most of December studying for boards and we hung out with our families in the Pocatello area.

My kiddos enjoyed helping grandma decorate for Christmas.

Kennadie got into the holiday spirit and loved redecorating everything.

Jaxson wanted to be like grandpa and read the newspaper every morning, he especially enjoyed the ads.

We were able to visit Santa and unlike like last year we had no tears.

As soon as Jax got off his lap he told me he didn't think that was the real Santa.

It always amazes me what will entertain kids!

Sleddin' Fun!

When we got to Idaho, my parents had just enough snow to go sledding.  My kids were so excited!  It was a very unusal winter for Idaho and there was very little snow.  Here's some of my favorite pics from our very few sledding adventures this winter!

Both of them LOVED it!

We were lucky to be so close to cousins this winter!

Kenna and Bryn became good buddies.
