Wyoming Round 1

We were forunate enough to get to visit Keith's parents in Wyoming twice this summer.  They had a great surprise for the kiddos when we got there.  They had a new playhouse and playground toys in their yard for the grandkids to enjoy.

And boy did they enjoy it.  They LOVED all of it.

Every morning Jaxson would race outside to play in the 'clubhouse'.

Kennadie especially loved the swings and was constantly pulling someone over there to push her on them.

We were in Wyoming for Pioneer Days and Jaxson was lucky enough to get to be in their parade with grandma.  Their theme was Angels Among Us, and Jaxson was a little 'angel' (I know it was a stretch) floating in a cloud.  Kenna got to go for a little ride before hand.

Kennadie thought the parade was an entertaining event.

And Jax loved being an angel.

The kiddos also loved playing with their cousins.

This picture doesn't show it well enough but even though Jaxson loved Wyoming, the bugs there also loved him.  He must be highly senistive because he got huge wherever he got bit.

Cousin Time

Another reason why we liked being in Pocatello is because we were close to Keith's sisters, which meant cousin time!

Sydnee and Dawson came over twice to play outside, in the mud, and with bubbles.

Once again my kids were in heaven!

Jaxson introduces Sydnee to the wonderful world of worms.

And Kennadie showed Dawson how fun it is to drink from the hose and get soaked in the process.

The second time they were over we did a lot of bubbles.

Kenna is my bubble girl.  Bubbles can solve any problem in her world.

Then Sydnee and Jaxson decided to wash their hair with the bubble mixture.

They were dancing around while rubbing the bubbles more into their head while watching their shadows.  It was quite entertaining.

The best part of being out west this summer was spending so much time with family.  We loved being with the Plott family!

Good Times at Grandma & Grandpa's House

While at my parents my kids had a blast just being kids.

My mom was nice enough to let them play in/destroy her yard for hours.  We let them make mud and just go at it.

We had to hose them off multiple times a day.

 But they were in heaven.

They also loved playing with all of grandma's toys and games.  Jaxson even calls my mom 'The Toy Grandma' from time to time.

Jaxson's favorite game was the Cootie Bug.

He loved showing off his bug.   If I could only get him to look at the camera and smile at the same time, we might be able to get some decent pics of this kid.

Silly Kids

Next stop during our crazy summer away from Keith, was my parents home in Pocatello.  It was nice to have some time to relax and kinda, sorta get the kids back to a more normal scheudule.  One day while playing in my parents basement the kiddos decided it would be fun to pile all the toys on me.

Kennadie would occasionally get a little concerned with my welfare and have to come check to make sure I was still ok.
Then Jaxson decided it was his turn to be burried.

Kenna thought this was a great idea.

Next, Jax thought we should bury Grandpa, and he was a good sport and let them cover him with a tote full of toys.
Then it Jax decided it was time for everyone to take a nap, which of course didn't last long.

July Bear Lake Trip

The day after Palmyra we drove back to Cleveland and everyone flew home.  I am so extremely grateful that my parents were on my same flight.  Flying solo with two kiddos is not easy, so their help was greatly appreciated.  Especially because we had a five hour delay while in Chicago and our plane didn't leave until almost midnight, needless to say my kiddos didn't handle that very well.

As soon as we got out west we went straight to Bear Lake to spend time with my mom's side of the family at a time share condo that had been my grandma's.  Bear Lake is one of my favorite places in the world and here's a few reasons why.
Boating!  I love to boat! I will try just about anything behind a boat and I loved that Jax also loved being on the boat this trip.
He liked being the flag boy and hanging out with his awesome Aunt Kristie.
I got quite a few good ski rides this trip.  Skiing is my ultimate favorite!

I also wake board but this is my sister, she's better than me.

We also loved going to the pools and spending lots of time with cousins.

My kiddos of course loved the park.  This old slide was here when I was a kid.  Oh the memories!

Jax is getting more and more adventurous.

And Kenna is right behind him.  This girl is crazy!

We love playing lawn games.  Some of the best times are when all my cousins and I are out on the lawn playing volleyball, ultimate frisbee and other games.

More skiing, I seriously can't get enough of it. My sis took this pic of me and I thought it was kind of fun.

And of course we never get tired of playing at the beach.  I love that my kids are at a stage where they can play there happily for hours!

Well, at least Jax can stay at the beach for hours.  Kenna sometimes had other plans and I often watched her waddle off very determined to get to the park or the grass.  I loved watching that cute ruffle bum of hers.

Growing up

This little princess is growing up way too fast.   I can't believe she's 18 months old!  Here's a little look into what she's been doing lately.

Posing for pictures and gosh I love her for it!

She loves her tutu,
books,
her rocking chair, and cell phones (yep I know we're in trouble)
She loves Jax and wants to do what he does.
Giving her baby kisses, open mouth of course!
She loves to squeal, (and it's VERY high pitched)

yet can be quite serious.  And I'm raising another milk addict go here for the whole story.
She wants anything Jax has, including his pirate get up.

Her hat fell off her head and she kept going in circles trying to catch it.

She loves balls, hitting off the tee, and anything outside.
She is also really into trying to do what we do and helping out.  One day she helped me move wet clothes from the washer to the dryer and then the next day I noticed she had put in some of our food storage, diapers and a bag of marshmallows, isn't she helpful.  We sure love our cutie and are fully enjoying her at this stage!
