After six crazy weeks we finally made it home to Ohio. Man alive, did it ever feel good to be home! Since being home we've still been busy and have been enjoying a more mild Ohio summer.
Jaxson got this chef hat from my mom and he loves it. He's always loved helping me cook but now he calls himself a real chef when he puts it on.
"COME AND GET IT!!" This kid makes the funniest faces!
We've been savoring some of the great tastes of summer with some of our favorite treats like corn on the cob, watermelon, and popsicles.
Nothing can be better than a popsicle on a warm summer day.
Kennadie wasn't too sure of this thing I had just given but once she put it in her mouth she was a happy girl.
When Kennadie naps I try to do at least something quick with Jaxson before I try to get some work done. Sometimes we read a few books and other times we do a project. His favorite projects are making robots out of recyclables.
We've also been really into bugs, especially worms. Almost everyday we go out looking for bugs and I am amazed how long this can keep him busy. Once he finds one he'll carry it around as long as I will let him. Once he caught a worm before we went out for a run and he held on to it the whole time we were gone. He would point out trees, flowers and houses to 'Billy the Worm' (yes we have to name each worm.) Then if we saw a bird he would cover up Billy so the birds couldn't get him. I love this funny boy.
And this girl is just wild. She can climb on anything and is already a thrill seeker.
Jaxson just being Jaxson. What a crazy kid!
