Wrestle Mania

When Keith is home to help put the kiddos to bed this is what it looks like.
Wrestle Mania!  The kids are flying in every direction and the house seems to shake with there squeals and giggles!

And we all love every minute of it!

This is how Kenna looks afterwards.  And man, can she hold her own in the wrestling arena.  This girl is one tough cookie.

Zoo Day

It has been a long time since we've been to our zoo.  Our pass has expired and we decided not to renew it so it makes it more difficult.  Luckily mondays are free days at the zoo so I made sure we made it there before we left for the summer.

They've been building a huge new elephant habitat pretty much the whole time we've lived in Cleveland.  It just recently opened up and we were so excited to see it.
It can hold up to 10 elephants including a bull.
Jaxson being an elephant.
They have these cool elephant statues all over the park.

My cuties on the toroise.
It was a great time of year to go because there are some baby animals like this baby bear.

And the baby rhino.
The fish tanks are always a huge hit with my kids.  Kennadie loved being so close to them.
That is until a turtle got too close to her.

We love our zoo and had a great day there!

Memphis Kiddie Park

Keith had a day off recently and we decided to make it a family fun day.  At least the morning and early afternoon would be.  We decided to try out the Memphis Kiddie Park which is a small amusement park just for little kids.  It was nice because adults didn't have to pay to get in and each ride was just one ticket. We had a beautiful warm but not hot day and almost no lines, both are perfect for kids at an amusement park.

The first ride we put Jaxson on was the little roller coaster.  He was super excited because Curious George rides a roller coaster in one episode.
After we got going he wasn't quite so sure about it.  Throughout the morning if we asked if he wanted to go again he would quickly say no but when he talked about the park he would always say the roller coaster was his favorite ride.

The rest of the pics are pretty self explanitory and since I'm short on time I'm not going to add all of my random comments.

The boats were Kenna's favorite ride.
This was the ride that Jax wanted to ride the most.  He's in the red one up top. (I'm really done now.)

The kiddos had a blast! Jaxson especially thought that park was the best place in the world.  It was a fun day for all of us!

Cooking Up Some Fun!

After six crazy weeks we finally made it home to Ohio.  Man alive, did it ever feel good to be home!  Since being home we've still been busy and have been enjoying a more mild Ohio summer.

Jaxson got this chef hat from my mom and he loves it.  He's always loved helping me cook but now he calls himself a real chef when he puts it on.
"COME AND GET IT!!"  This kid makes the funniest faces!
We've been savoring some of the great tastes of summer with some of our favorite treats like corn on the cob, watermelon, and popsicles.

Nothing can be better than a popsicle on a warm summer day.

Kennadie wasn't too sure of this thing I had just given but once she put it in her mouth she was a happy girl.

When Kennadie naps I try to do at least something quick with Jaxson before I try to get some work done.  Sometimes we read a few books and other times we do a project.  His favorite projects are making robots out of recyclables.

We've also been really into bugs, especially worms.  Almost everyday we go out looking for bugs and I am amazed how long this can keep him busy.  Once he finds one he'll carry it around as long as I will let him.  Once he caught a worm before we went out for a run and he held on to it the whole time we were gone.  He would point out trees, flowers and houses to 'Billy the Worm' (yes we have to name each worm.)   Then if we saw a bird he would cover up Billy so the birds couldn't get him.  I love this funny boy.
And this girl is just wild.  She can climb on anything and is already a thrill seeker.

Jaxson just being Jaxson.  What a crazy kid!
