Jaxson's 1st Haircut

I finally broke down and decided it was time to cut Jaxson's hair. We did while my mom was here so she could help out. Ok, actually she did it while I entertained him. He did good for the most part but was very curious about what was going on behind him.
These are the before pics of his cute curls that I will miss playing with.
We never actually did his hair like this but it shows how curly it really is.

The finished product! Doesn't he look handsome! Great job mom. The only problem is that he looks much older now.

A Visit from Grandma!

Last week we were lucky enough to get to have my mom come and stay with us for a few days. We had a lot of fun together and she enjoyed gushing over Jaxson.
We made a trip out to Kirtland. Jaxson did not like going to the temple very much and was not good during the tour. Maybe skipping his nap hadn't been a good idea.
It was awesome to walk around the little town and tour some of the historic homes and buildings. It was amazing to think of all the important things that took place there.
We also celebrated Jaxson's 1st birthday a little early so that grandma could see him dig into the cake. He loved it! I'll post more pics of his little birthday later.
It was a great couple of days and Jax loved being with grandma.

Best Friends!

Jaxson and Paisley are best friends. Jax loves to play with Paisley and Paisley doesn't mind Jax. She lets him climb all over her and loves to give him kisses.
They follow each other around all day. I think Paisley thinks she has to protect him.
They both love meal time! Paisley parks right under Jax's chair to catch everything he throws her way. It's no wonder she's getting so fat!
They also love to play outside together and when they're not outside they like to look out the window wishing they were outside.
This is one of Jax's favorite books. He points to each dog and says 'puppy'. I like this picture because it looks like Jax is into an interesting book and Paisley couldn't be more bored.

Look Who's Walking

Jaxson has been taking one and sometimes two steps for a couple of weeks now. He would wobbly take a step then smile at his accomplishment, drop to the floor and crawl to his destination. Then yesterday he decided to be brave and take a couple more steps. The most he's taken today was about ten. He seems pleased with this new mode of transpotation and I'm sure it won't be long until he's off and running. At least this is what his daddy is hoping for! Anyway, here's a little clip of him walking and trying to talk. Sorry it's not the best video but it's the best we could do.

Life in Ohio!

We've settled into a nice routine here in Ohio. Everyday we take Keith to school. This is where he spends most of his day. Lately, since it is test week, this is his home.

Then Jax and I get to play the rest of the day. We often go out and explore our new community. We go to parks, shopping and sometimes we go to the zoo. Jax loved watching the monkeys play.

We often go for walks and we recently found this nice walk path not too far from our house.

And of course we play at home. Jaxson is all about playing now and if I don't let him play with what he wants he's getting good and throwing himself back and screaming in protest. Luckily he's easily distracted and finds pleasure in the simplest things. Overall, we're happy here at our new home.

Tagged!

I was tagged by two people with similar tags at the same time so I'm cheating and combining them. And as many of you know I'm new to all this stuff so I had to have this tagging thing explained to me and now I'm ready to give it a try. Here are the rules:

1. Link the person who tagged you http://www.josh-n-dina.blogspot.com/
2. Post the rules
3. List six unspectular quirks or random facts about you
4. Tag six other bloggers

And now your now entering into my crazy mind! Proceed with caution.

1. I love cheese on just about everything! I eat it plain, in foods, I put it on top of everything and I almost have to have it daily. This was intensified while I was pregnant. The crazy part is that I can't stand it on a hamburger. If I do get a cheeseburger by accident I usually make Keith pick the cheese off.

2. I hate to cuddle in bed. My bed is for sleeping and I can't sleep while cuddling. I love to cuddle while watching a movie but when I want to sleep poor Keith gets shoved to the other side of the bed.

3. I love to play games and I'm very competitive but now that I'm married when I play a game my main goal is to beat Keith. I can come in second to last and as long as I beat Keith I'm happy. Again, poor Keith.

4. Bring on the germs! Unlike most people I'm not afraid of germs. This drives Keith crazy. I'll eat food that's fallen on the floor, simply pick a hair out of my food and keep eating, I leave my toothbrush in the bathroom uncovered, and I will set my towel on the closed toliet while I shower. All of these habits Keith continues to point out are disgusting but my thinking is what doesn't kill me it makes me stronger.

5. I'm a night owl. I get this from my mom who I can usually call after midnight and know she'll be awake. For some reason I almost always get a second wind at 9:00 at night no matter how tired I was eariler. It's nice because I get a lot done at night but then it makes me just a little hard to live with in the morning.

6. I love a wide range of music, as you might be able to tell from my playlist, and because of this I almost always have songs popping into my head. People will radomly say or do something and I'll start singing a song about it. Sometimes I feel like I live in a musical, it's fun!

After doing this I realize how much my wonderful hubby puts up with. I love you honey!

Alright enough about me let's hear from Jodi B., Amy M., Aryn Y., Bekah N., Rachel H., and Tammy A. (sorry but you are the only people that I know look at my blog!) Have fun!

Indians Game

We had a great Labor Day weekend filled with lots of food, friends and fun. We started if off with a little baseball action. Keith was able to get cheap tickets to an Indians game last Friday night through his school. So us and a bunch of other students headed down town for a fun night of baseball. After an hour rain delay the game finally got started and the Indians took on the Mariners. Everybody back in the Northwest should be happy to know that Seattle won the game 3-2. Jax loved it! He stayed awake and happy through the whole game and even enjoyed the fireworks at the end.
